Monday we were in Hertford adding a couple of extra sockets, installing some outside lighting and fighting the spiders out of a shed.  We had a nice walk around the town whilst having some lunch you may be able to spot some of our leaflets in the local shops.

Tuesday, we went to ELEX at Alexandra Palace to catch up on all the industry news and look at some shinny new tools. We also joined which trust a trader, so now we are about to start the vetting process, wish us luck.

Wednesday we were changing lights in Cheshunt in the morning, battling water damaged spot lights and finding a fault in Broxbourne, then we had the call ‘My Light switch is bleeding green stuff’ so we were off to Goff’s Oak to short the problem luckily it was just a few circuits that needed rewiring and the ghost busters weren’t needed, this time, keep your eye out in our help sheet section for more information on this issue.

At the end of the week, we were dealing with a fuse board fire, luckily it was caught just in time and power was turned off, the cause was a loose cable and old protective devices which were no longer operational due to age, which kind highlighted the importance of regular inspection and testing in domestic properties

Then on Friday completely out of the blue Dan said ‘next week I am going do a vegetable soup diet’ you could smell the fear in the van well at least I think that what it was, I think we will be keeping the windows open just to be on the safe side.
